How long does a survey take?

Most residential surveys take 1–3 hours depending on size and complexity. Larger or more detailed properties may take longer, but we always confirm the expected onsite time in advance so you can plan your day with no disruption.

Do you cover all of England?

Yes. We regularly complete projects in London, the South East, the Midlands and surrounding regions, and can travel further when required. Availability is fast, and we aim to schedule surveys within a few days of enquiry.

Can you survey listed buildings?

Yes — we frequently work on heritage properties, irregular structures, loft conversions, basements and unusual geometries. Our approach ensures we capture all relevant detail so that your architect receives accurate, dependable information for planning, design or conservation work.

Will my architect be able to use the drawings?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All drawings are delivered in DWG and PDF, drafted clearly, consistently and ready for immediate use in architectural workflows. Architects repeatedly comment on the accuracy, clarity and organisation of our drawings, which reduces the need for redrafting and speeds up the design process.

Do I need to prepare the property before the survey?

Very little preparation is needed. 
We only ask that all rooms, lofts and access points are clear and accessible so we can capture the full building accurately.
No need to tidy — just ensure doors aren’t blocked and that we can move through the property easily.

Do I need to be home during the survey?

Accepted Answer

Not always. 
As long as we can access the property and lock up after, you do not need to stay on site. Many clients prefer to leave a key with a neighbour, agent or contractor.

Will the survey cause any disruption?

No — our surveys are quiet, non-invasive and leave no trace. 
There is no drilling, no marks, and no equipment attached to walls.
We simply move through the property with our laser scanner.

How accurate are the drawings?
